Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Campswipe platform ("Platform"), operated by Campswipe Ltd ("Campswipe", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Who May Use Campswipe

Campswipe is available to organisations registered or operating in Ghana. By registering, you confirm that you are authorised to enter into this agreement on behalf of your organisation and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. What Campswipe Does

Campswipe provides a payment collection and management platform that allows organisations to collect dues, event fees, and open collections from their members and the public. Payment processing is handled by Paystack, a third-party payment processor. Campswipe is not a bank and does not hold funds on your behalf beyond the settlement cycle.

3. Platform Fee

Campswipe charges a fee of 10% on all collections processed through the Platform. This fee is deducted before funds are paid out to your organisation. By using the Platform, you agree to this fee structure. The fee covers payment processing infrastructure, SMS notifications, automated receipts, member management tools, and payouts.

A one-time setup fee applies at account activation, the amount of which depends on the plan you select at signup.

4. Payouts

Net funds (after the 10% platform fee) are paid out to your registered bank account according to your selected payout schedule. Campswipe reserves the right to delay or withhold payouts if there is a reasonable suspicion of fraud, a dispute, or a breach of these Terms. We are not liable for delays caused by your bank or by Paystack.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for ensuring that collections are for legitimate purposes.
  • You must not use the Platform to collect payments for illegal goods, services, or activities.
  • You are responsible for informing your members about how their data is used.
  • You must keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
  • Member data you upload (names, phone numbers, emails) must be obtained with appropriate consent.

6. Member Data

When you upload member data to the Platform, you retain ownership of that data. You grant Campswipe a limited licence to use that data solely to provide the service (e.g. sending SMS receipts, matching payments to member records). Campswipe will not sell or share your member data with third parties except as required to operate the Platform (e.g. Paystack for payment processing) or as required by law.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Campswipe to:

  • Collect payments for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes
  • Process payments on behalf of another organisation without their authorisation
  • Attempt to bypass or manipulate the platform fee
  • Upload malicious code or interfere with the Platform's operation
  • Resell or sublicence access to the Platform

8. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraudulent activity, or if required by law. Upon termination, any outstanding net funds owed to you will be paid out after a reasonable review period, less any amounts owed to Campswipe. You may also close your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Campswipe is not liable for:

  • Loss of revenue or profits resulting from Platform downtime or errors
  • Unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to secure your credentials
  • Delays or failures in payment processing caused by Paystack or your bank
  • Actions taken by your members in relation to payments

Our total liability to you in any circumstance is limited to the fees paid by you to Campswipe in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
